The Jordan McNair Foundation was founded in June 2018, after suffering the loss of one our life's most precious gifts. Jordan Martin McNair due to complications of an exertional heat stroke on June 13, 2018. Jordan's death ignited a passion within his parents; a passion to save lives of every young athlete who might otherwise succumb to a similar fate. Jordan's parents believe that, with the right information, support, and partners in athletic communities we will make better informed decisions concerning the health and safety of athletes at every level.
Proceeds from the Jordan McNair Foundation Golf Classic will be used entirely and solely to support programs and initiatives to aid in :
* Prevention- Educating student athletes ,parents, and coaches on the signs, symptoms, and prevention of Heat Related Injuries. As well as the donation of Cold Water Tubs to all sports programs in need of one across the country.
* Support- Providing athletes and their families who experience heat related illnesses , with emotional and financial support for unanticipated hardships.
* Empowerment -Will provide access to education to deserving student athletes who have been admitted to Jordan's high school Alma Mater, The McDonogh School, and need tuition assistance.
